The City of Austin has recently passed Ordinance Number 20081106-047.  The Ordinance states that all residential properties in the market for sale shall be required to have an energy audit performed if the following criteria are met:

1) If the residential property is 10 years or older.

2) If the residential property receives service from Austin Energy Utilities.

3) If the residential property resides within the Austin city limits.
